Favor is deceitful

1. Proverbs 31:30-31 "Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a
woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the
fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates."

3. Vanity

2. Favor:

Favor is a very worldly concept. It deals with the hear and now! We all know that things can change in an instant. Because favor is strictly present based, it binds us in the present and distracts us from where we should be going. Yes God does give us favor is certain things by making a way for us however, when we look at favor in society it is out of competitiveness not community. It is out of want not need.

Favor is the false perception that someone else is better. The reason that favor is deceitful is because it places others above and/or below us. God never intended us to compare where others are at or be so concerned with stature that we forget who we are as women and who we are as women in God.

Definitions: Favor

1.something done or granted out of goodwill, rather than from justice or for remuneration; a kind act: to ask a favor.

2.friendly or well-disposed regard; goodwill: to win the favor of the king.

3.the state of being approved or held in regard: to be in favor at court; styles that are now in favor.

Definitions: Deceit

the act or practice of deceiving; concealment or distortion of the truth for the purpose of misleading; duplicity; fraud;

3. Vanity
So many people, especially women are always vying to be the best, the favorite. From this mindset comes pride. Vanity is close linked with pride ...it is in the same family. Pride is the opposite of humility. Humility is the greatest attribute that you can give to God other than your faith and love for Him. Yet others' Proxy-Connection: keep-alive
Cache-Control: max-age=0

ide often decreases our own self esteem. This response is false and dangerous to beauty.

Definitions: Vanity

1.excessively proud of or concerned about one's own appearance, qualities, achievements, etc.; conceited: a vain dandy.
One of the biggest burdens to God is that we don't trust in him.

2. without real significance, value, or importance; baseless or worthless.

Now beauty is used to define us in the physical realm. It breaks us down into titles, categories and messes up our perception of God in us. If you fear God, then you allow Him to move in you because you are humbled...you have accepted enough humility into your life to trust in His ways and His desires for you - not solely your ways and your wants.

4. Fearing God
Definition: Fear

1. a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid.
.
If we don't have anything to fear then we must not have anything to loose. But if we don't fear God we have everything to loose. Our minds, our sense of purpose, our families, our friends, our dreams, our prosperity and so on. We are His children and He is the father. a righteous woman understands her role in God.

5. The fruit of righteousness

This is the fruit . The righteous will not be forsaken...that is why growing into your work and your gifts will bear bountiful fruit. Those that labor righteously will reap blessings and praises everyday.
6. Praise at the gates

And when retirement time comes , it will be you who will be able to cash in on all the seeds that have been sown. God will welcome those who understand this fruit...understand their purpose. Moving in and walking your true gifts is its own reward.

I pray that each person acknowledges what their own works are and the importance of balance between favor and humility.
